Terribly unprofessional agency that can't seem to get its own policies or staff coordinated on how to handle its business or clients.
I called for an apartment listing on Monday, was told I needed to send an online application for any questions. So I did. Half a dozen e-mails and forms later, I finally got to the end of the process. Turns out, I still couldn't see the apartment directly, I had to attend an open house on Friday the same week, at a fixed hour. Not ideal, but I adjusted my schedule to be able to go see it.
On Thursday, one day before the established and accepted appointment for the open-house, I get an e-mail that the appointment is cancelled as someone has already rented it.
It seems this agency sorts its customers based on personal preference or nepotism. It's the only conclusion I can draw, as I don't see how anyone else could have seen the apartment before me, considering I followed the company's procedure to the letter and have also called them two minutes after the ad went online the first time.
As someone who has rented places in 4 cities across 3 countries, I'll give you some free advice: you either run a first-come-first-served type of business, which is fine (but then make yourself available when the client calls), or you organize open-house viewings, in which case you do NOT grant exclusive viewings based on your whims.
Not only did I pass on other things to make time for this viewing at the agency's inflexible date and time, but my time was entirely wasted. I imagine many other people invited to the same open-house felt similarly.
Overall one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any agency of any kind. This level of incompetence and disregard for your customer's time is unacceptable. Granted, their website looks good and the photo ops are all flashy, but at the end of the day, it's just an unorganized mess of a company that makes a mockery of its customer's time.
If I could rate it 0 stars, I would.
